So I’ve spent all week putting off working on my final. Not that it’s hard, I’m just so ready to be done with this semester. The professor even posted it a week early, but I guess I’ll spend the weekend working on it.
A few things I’ve been meaning to post about:
Geocaching – As a little early Christmas present to myself, I bought a TomTom GPS package complete with bluetooth receiver and TomTom software for my Treo 650. I’m don’t really travel all that much and I don’t get lost much, but with a GPS you can go Geocaching. It’s like a high-tech treasure hunt. Check the link for more info.
Johnathan Coulton – This guy rocks. Some of my favorite songs are Chiron Beta Prime, Code Monkey, and Re Your Brains. I also discovered there’s a whole sub-genre for this type of music and it’s called Nerdcore. Awesome!
Last.fm – I found a plug-in for last.fm which scrobbles the songs I played on my iPod. Obviously, I don’t listen to much music sitting at my computer so last.fm just got 100% interesting to me. Oh, I have no friends on last.fm, do anyone want to be my friend?
Google Hacks review – Yeah, I know. It should have been up several months ago. I hope I haven’t pissed off O’Reilly by not following through with this one.
Travian – Fun little Ajax-ified real-time browser strategy game I’m playing with some friends. The server we’re playing on resets December 22nd. Come and join us.
Movies – Now that I made it through both seasons of Lost and I upped Netflix to 3 movies-at-a-time, I’m starting to get some cool movies. Most recently I watched Basic which was a little hard to believe but the plot was entertaining.
I guess that’s about it for now. Once finals are through, I hope to post more.
