Made it through mid-terms

It’s now the week after my mid-term exam and I actually lived through it. Of course, I procrastinated until the last minute and I’m not 100% that I understood everything the prof wanted, but I think I did okay. One question on the whole exam: write a case study for a server consolidation. Sounds fun, right?

Normally, this week would be my group’s turn to find an article and write a case study. However, it looks like we’re getting a little break from that. We’ve been assigned to answer a question at the end of the lecture notes. I guess that means, I get to write a case study next week.

How’s this for stupid? I was in the backyard with my 9 month old Yellow Lab trying to work on training him. We had a pretty intense hour-long session where I would make him sit and stay before I would throw the rope toy for him. So, as a reward for doing good I was throwing the ball up on to the roof and catching it while sometimes letting him get it. Unfortunately, we both went for the ball the same time. One of his teeth punctured through the skin on the tip of my right ring finger. It was an accident, of course.

The bad part was that, at first, all I saw was a lot of blood. It hurt so bad I thought he’d bitten my finger completely off. It took me a minute to figure out where the blood was coming from. So, if you consider I’m a touch-typist then you can figure out letters of this post are causing me the most pain.
